How do I Add the SUBSIM menu to Stata?
Add the command “SUBSIM” to your
Stata menu. You have three options to do that:
1) Add the command “_subsim_menu” to your Stata profile file “c:/ado/personal/profile.do”.
This will ensure that Stata loads SUBSIM each time that is launched.
2) If you don’t have the “profile.do” file, you can create one by simply saving
the command “_subsim_menu” in a do file with the name “profile.do” in the
directory “c:/ado/personal/”.
3) Alternatively, execute the command “_subsim_menu” when you open Stata and
every time you wish to use the SUBSIM menu.
SUBSIM requires the use of household consumption or expenditure
surveys that contain information on expenditure of the subsidized goods
considered. It is also necessary to have information at hand on subsidized
prices and unit or total subsidies. SUBSIM indirect version requires the use of
Input-Output tables. |
